Position Overview
We’re hiring a driven Backend Developer to help scale our core SaaS platform. You’ll work on APIs, databases, system architecture, and integrations that power real-world restaurant operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and related frameworks
- Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs
- Work with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL for efficient data management
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth data flow and integration
- Optimize code for performance, scalability, and uptime
- Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanismsHandle third-party API integrations (payments, messaging, etc.)
- Ensure proper version control, documentation, and testing of backend code
- Assist in deploying and monitoring services using cloud platforms like AWS, Vercel, or similar
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience working as a backend or full-stack developer
- Strong command over Node.js, Express.js, and API design principles
- Experience with MongoDB or other relational/non-relational databases
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and container tools like Docker
- Understanding of server-side security, performance tuning, and caching strategies
- Problem-solving mindset with an eye for clean and modular code
- Good team communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working in a SaaS, startup, or agile product team
- Bonus: Exposure to POS systems, restaurant tech, or payment integrations
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure tools (AWS, Firebase, or DigitalOcean)
